What an honor to photograph, and also be the sole witness, at this beautiful elopement!
Diane and Clint chose the Chicago Cultural Center for their civil ceremony, right in the heart of Chicago, so we were able use to the abundant locations across the street in Millennium Park for portraits.
With an eye on the weather forecast, Diane brought umbrellas to fend off the drizzle. The weather also kept the tourists at bay, allowing us to shoot at Cloud Gate (more affectionately known as “The Bean”) on a Saturday morning with nobody around. Seriously. Have you ever been there without a million other people? It’s a neat thing.
Clint and Diane really posed themselves — Their connection is so personal and charming and infectious. I wish them many years of happiness in their new jobs and life together.

These are really great pictures. I think 086 especially captures Diane’s “shou(4) qi(2)” beauty. What are the rings are made of?
