Originally trained as a photojournalist, with additional apprentice experience in a traditional film-based portrait studio, Heidi combines the technical skills of her craft with a modern passion for capturing the spontaneous moments of children, teens and families.

She approaches each session with the goal of creating a range of images, from simple posed shots to completely candid expressions, which ultimately represent her clients with grace and love in their albums and on their walls.

After graduating from college, she lived in London, England for 13 years, returning to Illinois with her husband and three children in 2006. In addition to operating a successful studio in La Grange, she volunteers her photographic services to a number of charitable causes and contributes to educational guides published by Design Aglow.
